Provincal Trials
Provincial Trials Recap
Riptides, I could not be prouder of what our ten athletes put together at Provincial Trials this past weekend. We walked away with five gold medals, a handful of podium finishes, and personal bests all over the place. Every single swimmer contributed that is what makes this team great! The full medal results are in the table below, but I want to highlight a few things that do not show up in the times.
Luka went three-for-three in gold and added a silver. Anica swept both 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Len came from third seed to win the 200 back. Abby swam nine events and made the podium in five of them! Dylan made finals in several events and podiumed with bronze in the 200FR. Our girls made finals in all their key events, showing some great swimming and development. Congrats to Olivia and Lily at 13 making their first Provincial Trials. Olivia making a final and both dropping loads of time.
Beyond the medals, what I loved seeing was the number of Pbs across the board. Luka dropped nearly eight seconds in his 400 free. Anica took over four seconds off her 200 breast. Some great swimming across the board!

We have got a short turnaround before championships, so we will be right back at it this week. Thank you to all the families for your support over the weekend. The cheering from the stands does not go unnoticed. It is nice to have the big support back and seeing everyone together is awesome!
