JP Fiset & Cascade AGC results

Last weekend the Riptides traveled to Edmonton for the JP Fiset International meet and Calgary for the Cascade Age Group Challenge.  In Edmonton, they competed against 42 teams with some of the best age group swimmers from Western Canada.

Neo led the team with five new club records and achieved his first Canadian Age Group Championships qualifying time in the 200 fly. He bettered his own 100 and 200 fly club records and took down 3 records held by Jason Donelon since 2007 in the 200 free, 400 free and 100 back. Club Records

Jaime led the team in Calgary with a breakthrough performance winning silver in the 400 free and breaking two 10&U club records in the 200 and 400 free that were set earlier in 2015 by Kiana. She also achieved 5 new B times and qualified for Alberta Age Group Trials.

Marin led the girls in Edmonton with a sixth place finish in the 100 fly and 2 new A times in the 50 and 100 fly which qualifies her for Alberta Age Group Championships in March.

Several Riptides achieved multiple new personal bests:

Anthony – PBs in all 7 of his races and two new B times in 200 and 400 free.

Avery – a PB in 100 fly and 11th in 200 fly

Avi – five new PBs.

Cassidy – six new PBs and new B times in 50 fly, 50 back, 100 back and 200 IM.

Domenic – six new PBs and a new B time in 200 IM after a 29 second drop.

Jeremy – five new PBs including a 22 second drop in 100 fly

Kiana – six new B times in 50, 100 and 200 free, 50 and 100 back and 50 breast.

Pierre – three new PBs

Riley – six new PBs and new B times in 200 free and 100 back

Leighten – three new PBs and a sixth place finish in 100 fly.

Andrew – three new PBs and a 40 sec drop in 200 free

Joshua – two new PBs

Tanzin – two new PBs

Jordan – two new PBs

Renee – huge 60 second drop in 200 free

Sydney – two new PBs and a 50 second drop in 200 free

Bryn – 9th in 100 fly, two new PBs and a 30 second drop in 100 free

Shallis – six new PBs, 6th in 200 back and 7th in 100 fly
