Last weekend thirteen Riptides travelled to Edmonton for the JP Fiset International meet and competed against 600 of the best age group swimmers from Western Canada and the Territories. He also qualified early for Provincials by getting 15 year old A times in 5 events before his 15th birthday.
Emiko led the girls with a silver in the 400 free, a bronze in the 200 free, and four more top 7 finishes. She set five new club records at the meet: 100, 200 and 400 free; 50 back; and 400 free. She has already qualified for Provincials and came close to the National standard in multiple events at this meet.
