Coach’s Report – Airdrie

We had 18 swimmers racing in Airdrie at the NCSA John Timmerman’s Memorial Invitational. It was a fantastic weekend of fast swimming and the team came back with three second places and ten third places.

Congratulation to Maja Ellis and Emiko Osborne who qualified for the 2013 Team Aquatic Supplies Regional Age Group Trials in Calgary Feb 22-24. A total of nine swimmers will take part in the event: Maja Ellis, Avi Lamb, Emiko Osborne, Avery Spence, Nick Anderson-Young, Neo Gleason, Alexander Nelson, Aidan Parker and Sean Parker.

The sessions went fast from one event to another and our swimmers had back-to-back races, yet we had ten swimmers with 100% personal best times: Aydan, Magnus, Miriam, Maja, Sigrid, Domenic, Emiko, Kassandra, Avery and Emily.

Four swimmers collected some more B times: Maja in 400 free, Neo in 200 IM, Avi in 100 free and 50 back and Avery in 200 free and 100 breast.

The biggest drop goes to Emily in the 400 free, dropping an amazing 156 seconds!
